Fire & Life Safety Committee Meeting - Tuesday September 15th, 2026

Join Co-Chairs Rafael Escobar and Joseph Youman for an upcoming committee meeting and discussion focused on SB 9 and its impacts on Fire and Building plan check and permitting processes. The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss current challenges, share experiences across jurisdictions, and address other relevant code and enforcement topics.

The Fire Life Safety Committee focuses on issues relevant to the enforcement and interpretation of fire life safety provisions contained in the IBC, IRC, and IFC. We strive to provide high quality and relevant training, public outreach, and establish informational guidelines.
