The Los Angeles Basin Chapter is seeking dynamic individuals to join its committees. Participating in a committee will allow the Chapter membership to impact the direction of one of the largest ICC Chapters in the nation. The Chapter has the proud tradition being one of the most technically proficient Chapters in the nation.
The Administration and Code Committee (“Committee”) focus on topics or issues relevant to the daily operation and administration of a building and safety organization.
The Disabled Access Committee is to promote consistent application of Accessibility requirements.
The Fire Life Safety Committee focuses on issues relevant to the enforcement and interpretation of fire life safety provisions contained in the IBC, IRC, and IFC
The purpose of the Inspection Committee is to form a diverse group of inspectors and associated professionals. The Inspection Committee will collaborate, and compile Inspection Guidelines, to strengthen and build continuity between the LA Basin Jurisdictions. This Committee is designed to engage in group code discussions.
The Structural Code Committee provides a forum for the exchange, consideration, and discussion of ideas and proposals that are relevant to the construction industry, structural design community, and the building and safety professionals who are actively engaged in the enforcement and applications of the code.
The Sustainability Committee implements best practices for the development of infrastructure projects, programs, pilots, and policies related to transportation electrification.
