Faruk Sezer has dedicated nearly two decades to the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) and currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Government Community Section. In this role, he oversees key Building and Safety operations, including Development Services Case Management, the Board of Building and Safety Commission, Code Studies, Building Code, and Interdepartmental Development Services Partnerships & Enhancements.
Before assuming his current position, Faruk worked as a Plan Check Engineer and Supervisor. In this position, he led plan reviews for residential and commercial projects to ensure compliance with zoning and building codes. He also previously led the Disabled Access Section of LADBS for several years.
Faruk is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) and holds an ICC Plan Examiner Certification
Erik Rodriguez is a registered Senior Civil Engineer working with Los Angeles County Public Works. He has served the County for over 20 years, providing Development Services across a broad range of private development (ranging from small, single lot projects to large subdivisions), and the full scope of private development (including commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional). Erik has also provided development services relating to public infrastructure supporting private development, including street, storm drain, and grading.
Erik currently oversees Public Works’ Research & Training Section in the Building & Safety Division. He is an alumnus, summa cum laude, of the University of California, Los Angeles.
