PROGRAM: Training on the LARUCP Recommended Code Amendments
(The program is approved as Preferred Provider, 0.1 CEU)
As a Building Official, among many other responsibilities, we are tasked with the adoption of the latest California Codes for our jurisdictions. As is with most jurisdictions, this task may include evaluating what local code amendments, if any, to consider that are appropriate for our jurisdictions. This presentation summarize the Chapter’s continuing effort every 3 years to develop, maintain or update recommended local code amendments as part of the Los Angeles Regional Uniform Code Program (“LARUCP”). This presentation will help you better understand the local adoption process, how to incorporate the local code amendments as part of your adoption process, and highlight a select few local code amendments to consider before the codes go into effect on January 1, 2020.
